Elon Musk backs Trump's campaign at Pennsylvania rally
Elon Musk participated in Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania. "Come on up here, Elon," said Trump, inviting the billionaire to speak after him. Musk enthusiastically jumped onto the stage. You must see these recordings and photos.
"Over the past eight years, those who want to stop us from achieving this future have slandered me, impeached me, indicted me, tried to throw me off the ballot, and who knows, maybe even tried to kill me," said former President Donald Trump on Saturday during a rally at the site of the first assassination attempt on his life, in Butler, Pennsylvania. Billionaire Elon Musk, appearing with Trump, suggested that if Trump loses, these will be the last elections in America.
On Saturday's rally - one of the largest in the current campaign - participants included billionaire Elon Musk, who appeared for the first time at a candidate's election rally.
Musk's antics on stage
Elon Musk ran onto the stage and jumped, clenching his fists in the air. He was almost dancing around the stage. "The true test of one’s character is how they behave under fire… America is the home of the brave," he told the crowd, referencing the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
"We had one president who couldn't climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot," he told the crowd.
The owner of platform X stated that the current elections are "the most important election of our lifetime" because "the other side wants to take away your freedom of speech" and the right to bear arms. He also encouraged people to register to vote.
"If they don’t [do this], this will be the last election. That’s my prediction. Nothing’s more important," he announced.
Trump announces: "Musk to head special committee"
Musk openly endorsed Trump in the elections right after the attack in Butler and continues to support his campaign both financially (with an amount over 135 million CAD) and through tweets. Trump also announced that if he wins the election, he will place Musk at the head of a special committee ("government efficiency committee") tasked with developing a budget cut plan.
A photo of Trump with Musk after the rally was also published on social media.
Alongside Elon Musk, special guests included family members of Trump supporter Corey Comperatore, who was killed by an assassin in Butler, and vice-presidential candidate JD Vance.
