Ending the production of a model is always an opportunity to release a final special edition. However, in the case of the Ducati Panigale V2, it's something more. The Superquadro Final Edition is a tribute to the exceptional engine.

The two-cylinder V engine with a desmodromic valve system and four valves per cylinder that we know today has evolved over 30 years and has been used in machines such as the 748, 749, 848, 899, and 959 and is currently in the Panigale V2. The first engine, Superquadro, was introduced in 2011 in the 1199 Panigale model.

The engine's name comes from the ratio between the cylinder bore and piston stroke, which, at a displacement of 1,278 cubic centimetres, allowed for delivering high maximum power for a two-cylinder engine. It evolved over the years and is also the basis for versions with a smaller displacement, first 900 cubic centimetres, and then 955 cubic centimetres, which was able to win the first Supersport World Championship title for Ducati in 2023 with Nicolò Bulega and win the MotoAmerica Supersport championship in 2022 and 2023.

The evolution of this engine reached its finale, and to celebrate, or rather honour, it, Ducati introduced the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition. This is a limited special edition of 555 units, which can be recognized immediately by the special paint job with the engine scheme on the side. This version also features front and rear fenders and a carbon fibre exhaust tip.

The motorcycle is configured as a single-seater, and adjustable aluminum footpegs supplied by Rizoma underscores its sporty application. This model also has a lighter lithium-ion battery. Special edition touches include a new welcome animation on the screen and a serial number (located on the top yoke) for each unit. For those who want to ride the Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition on the track, there is an option to install a kit for removing the licence plate holder and mirrors and a racing fuel tank cap made of aluminum.
