Trump's rhetoric could hasten end to Ukraine conflict

According to the President of Finland, the end of the military actions in Ukraine is expected within the next three to six months. He attributed this to the "tough language" used by Donald Trump.

President Alexander Stubb emphasized that Vladimir Putin "should not be persuaded to engage in peace talks, but should be compelled to do so".

- Putin only understands tough, sharp language, which (the US President - ed.) Donald Trump is currently using - the politician evaluated.

Stubb expressed moderate optimism about Donald Trump's plans for a swift end to the war. From his perspective, there is no risk that peace talks will occur without involving Ukraine.

The politician stated that European countries should "somehow" participate in the peace talks because - as he added - "the future security architecture of the continent is being decided."

What's next for Russia? "Cutting ties was not a mistake"

The President of Finland also stated that severing ties with Putin after the outbreak of the full-scale war "was not a mistake." He added that "it makes no sense" for Finland to renew them after the war while bypassing its allies.
