Remains of drones damaged a Russian power plant in the Oryol region. This is not the first attack of this type on this region. The last incident involving the Ukrainian army took place on July 15. At that time, a drone fell on the premises of the fuel and energy complex of Oryol Oil Refining Company Black Gold LLC.

Andrei Klychkov, the governor of the Oryol region, reported the destruction of two drones flying over the Glazunov district. As a result of this incident, debris from one of the drones fell on a local power plant, causing damage, as reported by Kommersant.

The operational services are currently engaged in eliminating the effects of the airstrike. The governor indicated via his Telegram channel that the police and other law enforcement agencies are also working at the site.

However, he did not provide details about the type of damage the power plant sustained.

This is not the first attack of this type on this region. The last incident involving the Ukrainian army took place on July 15. At that time, a drone fell on the premises of the fuel and energy complex of Oryol Oil Refining Company Black Gold LLC, located in the village of Malaya Sakhanka.

The oil warehouse exploded as a result of this event. Fortunately, no one was injured. However, a tank with about 1,000 cubic metres capacity was damaged.

Massive attack

On the night of July 29, explosions were heard in several regions of Russia, and energy substations were burning in the villages of the Belgorod and Oryol regions; in the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 39 drones were shot down over five regions of the Russian Federation, wrote the Ukrainska Pravda portal.

The RIA Novosti agency reported, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, that 39 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed over the Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Bryansk, and Leningrad regions.

As usual, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not inform about the attacks' consequences, emphasising Ukrainska Pravda.

Russians respond with fire

Last night, drones also attacked Ukraine, reported the Air Force Command in Kyiv at 10 PM ET.

Ten unmanned aerial vehicles took off from Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea; nine were shot down in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Kherson regions. Ukrainians also destroyed an air-launched Kh-59/Kh-69 cruise missile fired from the occupied part of the Donetsk region, informed General Mykola Oleshchuk.
