It was an uneasy night for the residents of Russia's Krasnodar region. According to the independent Russian portal ASTRA, explosions were heard after midnight in Slavyansk-na-Kubani and Krymsk and earlier in Taganrog in the Rostov region.

"The moment of a powerful explosion in Slavyansk-na-Kubani. Eyewitnesses report a fire near the station," reported the VChK-OGPU account on Telegram.

The attack may have continued for about two hours. Photos appeared online showing a police car blocking traffic on one of the bridges in Slavyansk-na-Kubani. "A significant part of the city is blocked," reported VChK-OGPU.

According to official information from the local authorities, the air defence "repelled a massive drone attack." Governor Veniamin Kondratyev provided this information.

"According to him, in Slavyansk-na-Kubani, drone fragments fell into the yard of a private house. The homeowner was injured and received assistance. In the village of Chigrina in the Krasnoarmeysky district, drone fragments damaged a house. There were no fatalities or further injuries," reported the state agency RIA Novosti.
