Serbians are joyously celebrating the successes of athletes at the 2024 Olympics. They returned from Paris with three gold, silver, and bronze medals. Serbian representatives won gold in water polo and bronze in men's basketball, among other things.

For a long time, Novak Djokovic has been the number-one sportsman for his compatriots. He did not disappoint in Paris and became the Olympic champion in tennis. Since the beginning of the season, he had announced that Olympic gold was his most important goal in 2024, and he achieved it. Novak Djokovic's form was a bit uncertain, but it was perfect.

The Olympic medalists returned from Paris to Belgrade, and images of the joint celebration of athletes and fans hit the media. Many multi-medalists from other countries might envy the Serbians' welcome in their homeland.

Novak Djokovic also shared a recording from the car in which he took a victory lap through the streets of Belgrade. He repeatedly stopped the car to take pictures with fans or simply sing along together.

The tennis player himself was in an excellent mood and did not hide in the car from the fans' eyes. On the contrary, he leaned out with the Olympic gold medal through the window and took on the role of a master of ceremonies. He sang and danced as if trying to draw even more Serbians from their homes onto the streets.

The highlight of the meeting with the medalists was their appearance on the town hall balcony in Belgrade. At that moment, flares were ignited in the crowd, becoming as loud as New Year's Eve in the Serbian capital.
