The terrace of the Medusa building in Playa de Palma collapsed on Thursday evening. About 100 rescue workers fought through the night, trying to save people trapped under the building's remains. As a result of the building collapse, four people were killed.
Witnesses say that many customers, including foreign tourists, were on the restaurant's terrace at the time of the incident.

One resident said the sound of the collapse was like a bomb. People who survived were comforting each other on the street. Psychologists were also called to the scene.
