It appears that Diddy's arrest in September might signify the definitive end of his media career. The rapper has been charged with, among other things, sexual assault and human trafficking for sexual purposes as the list of alleged victims continues to grow. According to Page Six, more individuals have filed lawsuits against the musician.
New lawsuits in Diddy's case: allegations of assault and death threats
The site reports that five more individuals are accusing Diddy of, among other things, sexual misconduct, drugging, and making death threats. Documents obtained by the portal indicate that in 2004, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly a victim of sexual assault by the rapper. The pretext was reportedly her participation in a photo shoot.
Another woman claims that during one of the parties, Combs locked her and a friend in a room away from the main event and threatened to kill them if they didn’t do what he asked. In 1995, another victim was allegedly repeatedly hit, had her head "bashed against a wall," and was forced into sexual intercourse against her will. The incident reportedly occurred during a party promoting Biggie Smalls' music video for "One More Chance."
In 2008, a store employee was allegedly the victim of sexual assault by the rapper. Diddy and his bodyguards allegedly threatened him with death. He is not the only man making such accusations against the rapper. Another man claims he was drugged and sexually assaulted in a van during the 2006 White Party. Another participant of the same event was allegedly ordered by Diddy to undress, after which Diddy touched his genitals. He was only 16 years old at the time.
Diddy's lawyers respond to new allegations: statement released
TMZ reports not five but six new lawsuits against the rapper, suggesting that the number of charges against him might only increase. The victims are represented by attorney Tony Buzbee, who claims to be in contact with as many as 120 individuals allegedly abused by the musician. Journalists from the portal reached Diddy's lawyers for a comment, and they vehemently denied the aforementioned allegations.
"The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity. Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: That Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman," the statement reads.
