Brad Pitt rejects 'publicity stunt' proposal with Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were one of the most famous couples in Hollywood for years. For some time now, they have been embroiled in legal battles concerning not only their divorce but also their winery.
Brad Pitt does not even want to think about the offer allegedly proposed to the couple by producer Danny Rossner. He reportedly planned to invite the star and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie to the set. People close to the actor called the whole situation a "publicity stunt."
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie together on screen again? Absurd offer
Of course, adding to the spice of the situation is the fact that in Rossner's film, the duo would play... lovers. The production was supposed to tell the story of the real hotelier Emmanuel Martinez, who founded the Hotel Martinez in Cannes.
According to the Daily Mail, Rossner "believes" that the former spouses will be able to "set aside their differences" to help realize his project, which he has dreamed about for 20 years. However, this seems unlikely—at least that's what people close to Pitt claim.
He is, of course, involved in legal battles against Angelina Jolie. Since 2016, they have been trying to finalize their divorce, and the bone of contention remains their winery, Chateau Miraval. This situation makes informants tell the Daily Mail that there's "no chance" Pitt would "lower himself" to work with someone who caused him so much pain.
"All the money in the world wouldn't get Brad to appear in a movie with Angelina ever againa," the informants say. "It would definitely spark public interest, but it's not anything he would ever consider for a moment."
They added, "They are currently bitter enemies so there is no way Brad would lower himself to be paid any amount of money to talk to Angie on screen. She's caused him so much heartache and doesn’t even want his inner circle to talk about her."
Another source said that Rossner's offer was merely a "clever publicity stunt," but "not something either side entertained."
"There was never any real offer," an informant revealed.
The divorce case between Jolie and Pitt has been dragging on since September 2016. For some time, the actor lost the ability to see his children. In 2019, the court annulled their marriage, but since then, they are still fighting over the aforementioned Chateau Miraval winery. Neither of them wants to part with it.
