Republican vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance commented on the most important political topic of the weekend, Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race for the U.S. presidency. He posted on X, criticizing Biden's policies and directing harsh words toward Kamala Harris, who is set to replace Biden in this race.

A wave of commentary is flooding social media, with more politicians and world leaders weighing in.

The decision to withdraw from the presidential campaign was also addressed by the "Trump's man," the Republican vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance.

Vance on Biden: The worst president

"Joe Biden has been the worst President in my lifetime and Kamala Harris has been right there with him every step of the way. Over the last four years she co-signed Biden's open border and green scam policies that drove up the cost of housing and groceries," writes J.D. Vance on X.

"President Trump and I are ready to save America, whoever's at the top of the Democrat ticket. Bring it on," he adds.

Earthquake in the USA. Biden withdraws, Harris confirms

Joe Biden announced on Sunday on X that he is withdrawing from the race for the U.S. presidency. He will justify his decision in an address to the nation and declare that he will fulfill his duties until the end of his term.

The probable new Democratic Party candidate will be Vice President Kamala Harris. Her statement has appeared online.

Harris highlighted in the communication that she is a "profound honor to serve as his Vice President" and intends to earn the Democratic Party's nomination.

"We have 107 days until Election Day. Together, we will fight. And together, we will win," reads Harris's statement, which appeared on the campaign's website rather than via the White House.
