Apple breaks the mould with dual iPad Air releases: Sizes, specs, and prices unveiled
Analysts' suspicions were confirmed – Apple unveiled two versions of the iPad Air at the "Let Loose" event. The devices differ mainly in screen size, with the most notable addition being the iPad Air, featuring a 13-inch (approximately 33 cm) diagonal screen. It's been over three years since we last saw an update to the iPad Air, but the wait is finally over. Apple has rewarded our patience by introducing not one but two new models: a more compact version with an 11-inch (about 28 cm) screen and a larger variant boasting a 13-inch display.
What do the new iPad Air look like?
The new iPad Air comes in four captivating colors:
- blue,
- purple,
- "midnight starlight",
- "space gray".
As predicted, the front camera has been relocated horizontally to the longer side. This adjustment enhances ease of use, especially when the tablet is paired with the Magic Keyboard or similar accessories.

Both models feature an LED-backlit LCD screen known as Liquid Retina, which supports the wider P3 colour gamut and True Tone technology. They also have an oleophobic coating to reduce fingerprint marks. The smaller model's screen resolution is 2360 by 1640 pixels at 264 pixels per inch, while the larger model boasts a resolution of 2732 by 2048 pixels at 264 pixels per inch.
