Kjersti Flaa gained attention due to an interview with Blake Lively. The Norwegian reporter was treated poorly by the actress, which she only revealed years later. At that time, the star faced significant criticism. It turns out this wasn't the only difficult conversation that the show-business journalist had to conduct.
In 2012, Kjersti Flaa interviewed Anne Hathaway during the promotion of "Les Misérables". Years later, the conversation resurfaced. The reporter decided to discuss her experiences with the star, who allegedly dismissed her during the meeting. This, of course, caused quite a sensation, and the video quickly went viral online.
Anne Hathaway apologizes for her behaviour
The footage of the dissatisfied journalist with the interview reached the concerned party. Anne contacted the interviewer to apologize and explain her inappropriate behaviour from years ago. In a video posted on social media, the journalist admitted she was surprised by the star's actions. She couldn't hide her gratitude for the kind message from Hathaway.
I have to say, I was pretty shocked. (...) I had not expected her to reach out to me at all. I thought she was never going to even see that video, but she did and she did something pretty amazing - she stated.
During the mentioned interview, Anne Hathaway gave short and dismissive answers to questions posed by Kjersti. Over 10 years later, she shared with the journalist the tough times she was going through back then. Not only did the women forgive each other for the past situation, but they also agreed to have another conversation on the occasion of the actress's new film.
Just talking about it makes me almost teary-eyed because I was just so grateful that she did that. And it was a very personal note. We decided that I wouldn't share exactly what was in the email, but I just wanted to share with you guys what she did. I have so much respect for people who own up to their mistakes and say they're sorry. Sorry is such a powerful word - the journalist confessed.
