Water collecting on the dishes can be troublesome for several reasons. Firstly, when you remove dishes from the upper rack, dripping water often wets those on the bottom, meaning every item still needs to be wiped by hand. This adds unnecessary effort to using the dishwasher, which is supposed to save time.
Water in dishes in the dishwasher - A problem for many users
When removing dishes, water can splash onto clothes, the floor, cabinets, or kitchen countertops. While it may be clean water, using a dishwasher is to minimize extra work. This issue can be addressed by removing the bottom rack, though a more effective solution exists.
You don't need to rely on temporary fixes. There is a method that can be applied in almost all dishwashers. What should you do? First, check if your dishwasher has additional wheels on the sides of the upper rack. These are easy to spot as they are not integrated with any other part of the rail.
How to solve the problem in a simple way?
If you confirm that your dishwasher has additional wheels allowing for height adjustment of the upper rack, empty the entire appliance. Pull out the upper rack as far as possible and gently lift it from the front, which should release the front wheel. Then, while holding the rack steadily, pull it further out until the rear wheel is at the end of the rail, and lift the rack from the front again to release it.
You are almost halfway to success. Once you release the first two wheels from the rail, slide the rack back in, placing the top wheel you identified on the rail. Slide the rack in until the second wheel is on the rail.
Now, you can confidently finish your task. However, ensure the rack is properly positioned on the rail by trying to move it sideways, up, and down. If the structure is stable, you can place the dishes and enjoy not having water left on them after the wash cycle.
