Chicken gyros baked baguette
A baked baguette with garlic will disappear from the plates faster than you expect. It is much more filling than the one with just mushrooms. Although we may think of salad when we hear gyros, after trying this baked baguette, no one will miss the salad.
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast fillet
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- 1.5 tablespoons gyros seasoning
- ½ onion
- ½ red bell pepper
- 150 g mushrooms
Other ingredients:
- 2 garlic baguettes
- 100 g shredded mozzarella
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons canned corn
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Preparation:
Step 1. Cut the chicken fillet into medium-sized cubes. Add the oil and gyros seasoning, then mix well.
Step 2. Dice the mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper finely. Sauté the chicken in a pan, add the chopped vegetables and mushrooms, and cook the whole mixture until the chicken is done.
Step 3. Flatten the garlic baguette using a rolling pin. Press first, then roll it out. It should be flat enough so the filling doesn't fall off.
Step 4. Place the baguette on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake for 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 170°C.
Step 5. After baking, place the sautéed chicken on the baguette. Sprinkle with corn and chopped parsley, then drizzle with ketchup. Gyros baked baguette tastes best when hot. Enjoy your meal!
