The sick old man from Red Square, constantly threatening everyone with the red button, will not dictate his "red lines" to us; Ukraine and Ukrainians will decide for themselves how to live, which path to follow, and what choices to make - declared President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Ukraine's Independence Day.

- Today, we celebrate the 33rd Independence Day of Ukraine. And what the enemy brought to our land has now returned to his home. Those who want to transform our land into a buffer zone should consider whether their country will become a buffer federation. This is how independence responds - says President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his 13-minute speech.

The video, published on Saturday morning, on Ukraine's Independence Day, was recorded in Sumy Oblast - as Zelenskyy emphasized - "on the border between an independent European state and the largest terrorist organization in the world".

Zelenskyy emphasized the determination of the Ukrainian people to defend their independence. - Our enemy will know what retaliation in Ukrainian style means. A dignified, symmetrical, long-range retaliation. They will know that every place in the Russian Federation that poses a threat to the life of our state and our people will sooner or later receive a Ukrainian response - he declared, referring to the Ukrainian military operation in Kursk Oblast in Russia.

Zelenskyy sharply criticizes Putin on Ukraine's Independence Day

The sick old man from Red Square, constantly threatening everyone with the red button, will not dictate his "red lines" to us, said the President of Ukraine sharply about Vladimir Putin. He noted, "Ukraine and Ukrainians will decide how to live, which path to follow, and what choices to make."

This is not the first time Zelenskyy has spoken harshly about Putin. Responding to the Kremlin's accusations of Ukraine's involvement in a terrorist attack near Moscow, claimed by ISIS, he called Putin a "sick and cynical creature".
