Kamilla Beliacka, a 24-year-old actress from Russia, travelled with her fiancé to Thailand. She spent a lot of time by the ocean, where she practised yoga. Unfortunately, one of these activities ended tragically for her.

After a witness noticed that the woman was swept away by a large wave that washed her off a rock, he jumped into the water. Unfortunately, in his attempt to save her, he also most likely drowned.

Thai services report difficult conditions

Rescue workers arrived at the scene after 15 minutes but could not find the woman. Her body was eventually found about 800 metres from the incident. According to Thai services, the woman likely ignored warnings about adverse weather conditions. At that time, the waves reached about 3 metres.

“During the monsoon season, we constantly warn tourists, especially in high-risk areas, such as Chaweng and Lamai beaches, where red flags indicate a swimming ban,” said Chaiyaporn Subprasert, head of Samui Rescue Centre, to the Khaosad portal.
