WhatsApp's new feature offers users a more convenient way to search for channels. Although currently limited to test users, it enables more efficient information discovery. Instead of using the text search function, a WhatsApp user can scan a QR code to quickly access a specific group. Similarly, users can be invited to follow, as WABetaInfo reported.

Using QR codes to share links to channels allows users to distribute them in new ways, such as on printed business cards. This could help businesses grow more efficiently and encourage WhatsApp users to connect through the messenger app.

One of WhatsApp's upcoming features is chat filtering, which will let users organize conversations according to personal preferences. This feature is expected to enable users to sort conversations into different categories, such as professional and private chats. This feature is still in the beta testing phase and is available only to a small group of users.

In addition to chat management, WhatsApp is also introducing a new image search option directly from the app. After receiving an image, besides the ability to save or edit it, users will be able to use the search option on the web. This process, similar to Google's Lens feature, will make it easier to find additional information about the image, such as when shopping online.
