"Vogue World" aims to unite representatives of the fashion world in a joint celebration dedicated to the city where the event takes place. In 2022, it was New York. A year later, a grand fashion show took place in London. However, this year’s host was Paris, with Cara Delevingne as the event’s host.
The actress arrived at Place Vendôme in the centre of the French capital in an extravagant outfit that drew all eyes. Preparing for "Vogue World," stars can let loose as they do at the MET Gala. They are not judged by the prism of excess but by convention.
In this corset, Cara Delevingne stood out
From runway straight to Cara Delevingne’s wardrobe. The actress presented herself at the "Vogue World" event in a cream corset with quirky spikes covering the breasts from the Spring-Summer 2024 collection by Simone Rocha for the fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier. Kendall Jenner also reached for an outfit from the same collection. She walked across the Paris square, which turned into a runway, in a "naked" dress.
It is also worth paying attention to the details – the frilled lining, the ribbons hanging down towards the ground reminiscent of garter belts, and the satin version of a cabin boy’s hat.
A bit of a boudoir lady, a bit of a ballerina
On the runway, this creation was paired with dark brown loafers. However, Cara Delevingne came up with a better idea, matching it with milky tights and delicate ballet flats. In her look, boudoir and ballet hall inspirations blend smoothly together. The overall effect was perhaps a bit quirky but, above all, incredibly coherent.
