An ongoing Ukrainian offensive is taking place in the Kursk region of Russia. The actions were initiated in several areas of the front simultaneously. According to Ukrainian media, Russian units were completely taken by surprise by the actions of the Ukrainians.
"The Russians are very concerned in the Kursk region because they were attacked from multiple directions, and it was unexpected for them. The defence forces are in action," stated Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Centre for Opposing Disinformation at the National Security and Defence Council, on Telegram.
The first recordings of Ukrainian activities are now appearing online. The footage shows a Russian drone attempting to attack a Ukrainian vehicle during the assault. However, the Ukrainians were well-prepared as the vehicle was equipped with electronic warfare measures.
"The Russians claim that Ukrainian forces have prepared very well for offensive actions concerning electronic warfare systems," reported expert Artur Micek.
