Venessa and Kerissa are twins and supposedly never considered that they might marry identical brothers one day. Then, the brothers Jacob and Lucas Sealby crossed their paths and quickly formed a bond of understanding. Today, they create harmonious couples and have children, which they discussed on the "Today" show.
The twin sisters married twins. This is what their children look like
They arranged their first date in 2020. They were united by a love of sports, but initially, the sisters were skeptical. Venessa says she got Lucas' number, but she had no intention of contacting him. However, the invitation came from the twins, and today, they and the sisters are a harmonious couple. They share details of their lives on social media.
We didn’t have any interest in dating twins - Vanessa said on the show. - The idea kind of creeped us out, like no, that’s weird. And physically we had completely different types.
Venessa and Lucas are extroverts, so they get along well. Kerissa and Jacob, on the other hand, are more reserved, but they had the support of their siblings to get to know each other better. The first couple married in October 2022, and the second married several months later, in June 2023.
Three times they had twins
The twins admit that neither of them ever envisioned a double wedding. However, this does not mean they are not very close, as they live next to each other and see each other about "10 times a day." Interestingly, there was an occurrence where Lucas mistook his wife for her sister. It was awkward, but they recall it as a funny anecdote today.
I thought my wife was looking really good in the kitchen after the gym, so I gave her a light tap on the behind. And it turned out it was not her! - he admitted.
I was like, 'What are you doing!?' - added Kerissa.
Both couples already have children: Venessa and Lucas are the parents of little Adrian, and Kerissa and Jacob will soon celebrate Sophie's 2nd birthday. The girls are quaternary twins, so theoretically, they are cousins, but genetically, they are almost siblings. Specialists confirmed this during their conversation on "Today."
Even though they have different parents, they’re genetically full siblings - said Dr. Robert Green.
In the future, the couples plan to further expand their families.
We’ve been talking about it. Jacob and I are close to being ready - Kerissa admitted. It would be so fun to have kids the same age and at the same school.
