Fox News highlights that a win in 2024 would make Trump the first president since Grover Cleveland in the 19th century to return to the White House after losing an election.
Predictions from the Associated Press also suggest Trump's expected victory. According to the latest AP forecast, Donald Trump has already secured 247 electoral votes, while Kamala Harris has 210 votes. A total of 270 votes is needed for an outright victory.
According to the forecast from Decision Desk HQ, as cited by Reuters, Trump is also projected to win.
Meanwhile, the "New York Times" considers a Trump victory very likely.
Not just the presidential election. A major triumph for Republicans
A likely victory in the presidential election is not the only success. According to the Associated Press, Republicans are expected to take control of the U.S. Senate.
It remains uncertain how large the Republican advantage in the Senate will be or whether they will maintain a majority in the House of Representatives.
