In the latest public opinion poll conducted by the "Wall Street Journal," Donald Trump, representing the Republicans, gained more support than Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. This advantage is linked to his beliefs regarding the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East.
According to the poll results, Trump and Harris received comparable support in seven key states, which may prove decisive in the November presidential elections. The survey observed that Harris has a slight two-point lead in Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan, while Trump has a six-point advantage in Nevada and a one-point lead in Pennsylvania. In North Carolina and Wisconsin, both sides are tied.
Pre-election survey in the USA: Trump's slight advantage stems from his approach to war
Analyzing the attitude towards the two armed conflicts in the seven swing states separately, Trump gained an advantage of 50 to 39 percent over Harris in terms of who would handle the situation in Ukraine better and 48 to 33 percent in the context of managing the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Another poll conducted by Reuters/Ipsos on the same day showed that on a national level, Trump and Harris are in close competition, with Harris holding a slight lead, 46 to 43 percent.
In economic and immigration matters, Donald Trump gained more trust from respondents, while Kamala Harris was preferred in areas related to housing and healthcare.
