During a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump criticized Harris’s strategy to reduce prices. He called it "complete communist," predicting that it would lead to hunger and rationing.
“In her speech yesterday, Kamala went full communist. You heard that, she went full communist. She wants to destroy our country after causing catastrophic inflation. Comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls. You saw that never worked before. Never ever worked,” Trump declared at a meeting in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
He expressed concern about Harris’s proposals, particularly the ""the first-ever federal ban on price gouging on food," which he described as ineffective and leading to rationing.
Trump also criticized Harris’s proposal to impose penalties on companies exploiting crises to raise prices. Despite the appeal of these ideas, the former president is convinced they will not work in practice.
In the latter part of his speech, Trump defended his proposal to introduce universal tariffs on imported goods. He argued that tariffs do not negatively impact consumers, contrary to Harris’s opinion.
Trump more attractive than Kamala Harris?
Additionally, Trump responded to comments by journalist Peggy Noonan, who wrote that one of Harris’s assets is the fact that "she is a beautiful woman." Trump said, "I am much better looking than her. I'm a better looking person than Kamala."
Recently, Trump admitted in a conversation with Elon Musk that Harris is "a beautiful woman," but commenting on her portrait on the cover of "Time" magazine, he stated that the drawing did not resemble her but rather resembled his wife, Melania.
Pennsylvania, where Trump delivered his speech, will play a crucial role in the upcoming elections. Harris, along with Tim Walz, plans to tour the state. According to surveys, both candidates enjoy similar levels of support there.
