Tragic scenes unfolded off the coast of Masokut Island in Indonesia. A swordfish attacked Giulia Manfrini. At one point, it unexpectedly leapt out of the water and pierced her chest with its "sword."
Italian media reported that Manfrini sustained a five-centimetre wound as a result of this horrific incident. Eyewitnesses, two surfers immediately assisted and transported the injured woman to a medical facility. Unfortunately, her life could not be saved.
Manfrini was from Venaria Reale in the Piedmont region of Italy. Although she initially worked as a snowboard instructor, she shifted her passion to surfing after suffering an injury. She relocated to Bali, where she honed her surfing skills and started a travel agency.
