Heavy rain, a highway, and excessive speed make for a dangerous combination. Add to that a 20-year-old streamer at the wheel who is checking messages on his smartphone instead of focusing on the road. What happened as a result? Jack Doherty crashed on the highway, and the footage from the crash is circulating online.
The streamer was accompanied by a cameraman who kept filming during the crash. Thanks to the video footage, Jack was intensely focused on his phone while driving in the rain. He began screaming in terror when he realized the car had skidded and a disaster was unavoidable.
Jack Doherty - accident during streaming
Jack’s actions following the accident have sparked controversy. The YouTuber activated the phone's recording feature to capture every moment of the dramatic event. While the cameraman was sitting, bloodied in the passenger seat and moaning in pain, Jack exited the vehicle and lamented over his wrecked McLaren. He seemed largely unconcerned about his friend’s condition, even as witnesses provided aid.
When the cameraman exits the vehicle, it is apparent that he is injured and bleeding from the head. Jack asks if he is alright, then hands him the camera to record the YouTuber with the supercar wreck in the background.
Jack Doherty banned on Kick
The platform Kick, where Jack Doherty was streaming, removed the creator's account. Reportedly, the 20-year-old has a chance to recover it if he pays a large sum to another streamer, Adin Ross.
Jack Doherty shared a video on Instagram from the hospital. The footage shows the cameraman receiving stitches on his forehead.
