Steven Seagal: your $270,000 ticket to Russian corporate events
For 20 million rubles (approximately $270,000 CAD), Russians can hire Steven Seagal for a company event. The former action movie star has held Russian citizenship since 2016 and is a big fan of Vladimir Putin.
Seagal, 72, is a former actor, screenwriter, and film producer. In the past, he enjoyed a successful career in Hollywood and, along with Jean-Claude Van Damme and Arnold Schwarzenegger, was an icon of action films. Originally from the state of Michigan, Seagal now claims he is Russian, and considers Russia his home.
In his new home, where he moved a decade ago, he earns a living by performing at corporate events. "The client must provide the star with airfare, transportation within the city, accommodation with meals, security, as well as sound and lighting during the event," reports Belsat.
The service references the "Baza" channel on Telegram, where more details about partying with the star of the film "Marked for Death" were shared.
An hour with Seagal
Seagal's performance must remain confidential. No materials from the event are allowed to be published. Only photos of the actor can be taken with small cameras. The performance itself lasts 50 minutes. At the star's special request, he may deliver two pre-written speeches.
Once Seagal is hired, the event cannot be cancelled. Only illness or other incapacitation of the former actor may lead to a rescheduling of the event. A refund is possible only in the event of Seagal's death or that of a family member, emphasizes Belsat.
