Stephen Curry is a man of many talents. He excels not only in basketball but also in golf, where he recently won a prestigious celebrity tournament.

Golf is an immensely popular sport in the United States. One of its enthusiasts is Stephen Curry, the leader of the Golden State Warriors. Curry loves playing golf, and in 2019, he invested significant money in it. As reported by American media, Curry will sponsor the golf team at Howard University for six years.

In 2023, Curry participated in the American Century Championship, a tournament for celebrities and athletes. The 36-year-old won his first golf tournament in truly impressive style.

During the competition, the basketball player hit the hole directly on the first shot from a distance of 150 metres (rounded). For an amateur, this is a truly phenomenal result.

I am so excited right now, that is crazy. I’ll be out of breath for the rest of the day, but for good reason though - said Stephen Curry, quoted by CNN.

During the tournament, we also saw boxer Saul Alvarez and Hollywood actors Michael Peña and Don Cheadle.

Curry has taken advantage of the NBA season's break and has once again appeared on the golf course. He excelled alongside Gary Williams at the Garry Cup tournament.

New contract for the NBA star

Curry began his professional career in 2009 when the Golden State Warriors selected him. Soon, he became one of the most influential figures in the NBA. His shooting skills, especially from long distance, revolutionized basketball.

Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN revealed that Stephen Curry is close to signing a contract extension with the Golden State Warriors. The new agreement will increase his league-high salary by another $7 million and allow him to stay with the team until the end of the 2026–27 season.
