On Friday, Slovakia sent a military plane to Lebanon to evacuate its citizens and citizens of other countries.

The military transport aircraft C27J Spartan, responsible for the evacuation, took 2,700 kilograms of humanitarian aid to Beirut—primarily food products, medicines, and bandages.

Starting on Friday and continuing into Saturday, the plane is scheduled to make multiple landings in Larnaca, Cyprus. On Saturday, it will fly to Prague, where 19 evacuees are expected to arrive, and then proceed to Bratislava.

The Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that 31 Slovak citizens and over 40 citizens of other countries want to leave Lebanon. Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar is set to provide details of the evacuation operation on Saturday at the Bratislava airport.
