DeepState, a group of military analysts, cited sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who reported on the execution of Ukrainian soldiers on Thursday in Russian territory.
The analysts mentioned that the Ukrainians encountered Russian forces while returning to their positions and surrendered due to a lack of ammunition.
The human rights ombudsman reacts
The Ukrainian Human Rights Ombudsman informed on Telegram that “such actions constitute a blatant violation of the Geneva Convention on the treatment of prisoners of war,” adding that he sent letters to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross, notifying them of another Russian war crime.
“Russia is a terrorist country that breaks all rules and customs of warfare. The international community should not turn a blind eye to such crimes,” Lubinets appealed on social media.
At the beginning of October, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reported on the execution by Russians of 16 Ukrainian prisoners near the villages of Mykolaivka and Sukhy Yar in the Pokrovsk district, in the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine.
