Roasted peaches with cinnamon and crumble
This is an ideal dessert for almost any time of year and any occasion. Whether it's to satisfy a craving for something sweet after dinner or to impress at a family dinner, roasting peaches offers the advantage of not needing them to be perfectly soft. They become delicate and sweet in the oven and melt in your mouth. Add a scoop of your favourite vanilla ice cream for even more indulgence.
In this recipe, the heart of the peach is not the pit, but a delicious cinnamon paste made with butter and a hint of vanilla. It’s a simple addition that transforms an ordinary peach into a gourmet dessert.
Ingredients:
- 3 peaches,
- olive oil for drizzling,
Cinnamon Paste:
- 2 tablespoons of soft butter,
- 4 tablespoons of sugar,
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon,
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract,
Crumble:
- 100 grams of melted butter,
- 150 grams of all-purpose flour,
- 100 grams of sugar.
Decoration:
- vanilla ice cream,
- mint leaf.
Preparation method
Step 1. Start by preparing the crumble. Sift the all-purpose flour into a bowl, add sugar, and pour in the melted and cooled butter. Knead the crumble and put it in the fridge.
Step 2. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. Arrange the fruit in an ovenproof dish, cut side up, and drizzle with olive oil. Place in an oven preheated to 355°F (180°C) for 10 minutes.
Step 3. In the meantime, prepare the cinnamon paste. Add the soft butter, sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract to a bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Step 4. Add the cinnamon paste to the partially baked peaches. Sprinkle the prepared crumble over the entire dish and put it back in the oven for another 15 minutes.
Step 5. Serve the baked peaches with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Garnish with a mint leaf and some chocolate sauce if desired. Enjoy!
