Regular cleaning is crucial for your oven. After each use, you should wipe it with a sponge and a bit of dish soap to get rid of accumulated grease or food residues. Unfortunately, most of us forget about this crucial step. After a few weeks, the oven looks like it hasn't been cleaned for years.

How to clean the oven without scrubbing? The internet contains various tricks and tips for cleaning and maintaining kitchen appliances. Recently, a homemade method for effectively cleaning the oven has been gaining popularity. It's a safe, affordable, and completely natural method using lemon, which is effective for every type of oven.

What you need is a lemon. It's packed with citric acid, which can remove dirt, limescale, and grease while polishing surfaces. Cut three lemons in half and squeeze out the juice. Don't throw away the peels — they are helpful for cleaning. Fill an ovenproof dish with about 2 cups of water, and add the squeezed lemon juice and peels.

Place the dish in the oven preheated to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (about 150 degrees Celsius). "Bake" the mixture for an hour, then turn off the oven and open the door slightly to let it cool down. Remove the dish and soak a soft microfiber cloth in it. Wring it out lightly and wipe the inside of the oven. Use the lemon peels to clean any strong stains—they will come off without scrubbing.
