Red‑eye coffee: The high-octane brew reshaping caffeine culture
Espresso, Americano, and cappuccino are already very well-known. But the coffee "dictionary" expands from time to time. English ones now join traditional Italian names. This is also the case here. What lies behind Red Eye Coffee?

The weather today - the sky covered with clouds, rain in the air, and the pressure dropping every minute... That's when you save yourself with a strong coffee, often an espresso or an Americano. And now the choice will be more significant.
Pilots recommend
An alternative to well-known coffees has appeared. Red Eye Coffee is meant to meet the demands of people needing a higher caffeine dose. The idea for this drink was born among airline employees who work at night and must stay focused and alert. This way, they decided to provide themselves with an additional dose of energy. And in this case, the rule applies: the most straightforward ideas are often the best. Someone added an extra shot of espresso to an Americano, and that's how the new drink Red Eye Coffee was created.
A big dose of energy
Because Red Eye Coffee is a combination of two already strong coffees, it contains as much as 80-100 milligrams of caffeine. That's genuinely a hefty dose of energy. It will be helpful when intense stimulation is needed, certainly "getting you on your feet." However, there are those for whom this is still not enough. That's why in some cafés worldwide, Black Eye, which has two shots of espresso and Dead Eye, which contains three shots, are already available. All three variants are served both hot and cold. However, such drinks are not for everyone. Those sensitive to caffeine should exercise caution. These coffees may be too strong. It is also worth remembering that according to the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations, adults should not exceed 400 milligrams of caffeine per day.
Fast action
Caffeine is one of the most well-known stimulants. It increases the secretion of adrenaline, dopamine, and serotonin, which stimulates the central nervous system and dilates blood vessels. For this reason, an increased heart rate and a surge of energy can be observed after drinking coffee or an energy drink.
