Cora Schumacher, the former wife of Ralf Schumacher, has spoken out after her ex-husband revealed he is in a relationship with a man. She claims she feels used and believes she wasted her best years learning about everything from social media.

Cora was married to Schumacher for 14 years before they divorced in 2015. In an interview with the German magazine "Der Spiegel," she expressed her frustration, stating she "feels used" and thinks she wasted her best years.

She also admitted that many rumours about his orientation circulated during her ex-husband's career in Formula 1.

I asked him to clarify if what they were saying was true, but he always denied it, saying that I was exaggerating everything and that maybe I needed psychological help - recalls Cora.

The athlete's ex-wife does not hide that his coming out was like a punch to the heart.

Today, I feel used in the marriage. I feel like I wasted the best years. I ask myself many questions. Was he honest with me? And something even more important crosses my mind: Did he love me? I trusted him blindly - said the devastated Schumacher.

She emphasized that coming out always affects the surroundings of the person who reveals themselves, including the ex-wife with whom one has a child. The result of Cora and Ralf's several years of relationship is their now-adult son, David. The young man reacted entirely differently to his father's coming out.
