He emphasized that Moscow and Washington are ready to establish cooperation.
He stated that not everyone in the West is pleased with the renewal of Russian-American contacts.
- Not everyone is happy with the resumption of Russian-American contacts. Some Western elites are still determined to maintain instability in the world. These forces will try to disrupt or compromise the dialogue that has begun - repeated the dictator, wanted for war crimes.

The dictator also added that it is the fighters of the "special military operation" who, through their courage and victories, "created the conditions to embark on a serious dialogue - a dialogue about a fundamental resolution not only of the Ukraine crisis but other global crises as well."
Putin also ordered the strengthening of borders in "potentially dangerous" areas.
- To ensure the safety of people in border settlements - he added.

This is an indisputable and incontrovertible fact - said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, referring to President Donald Trump's remarks made on Wednesday that the United States will "try very hard to make a good deal so they can get as much [territory] back as possible" during negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
