According to People magazine, Priscilla Presley's lawyer filed a lawsuit accusing Brigitte Kruse and her associates of deceiving, exploiting the actress, and robbing her of a million dollars.
This "legal dance" is just beginning, as Kruse's attorney issued a statement saying he cannot respond to the lawsuit because... he did not receive a copy. So what is this all about?
According to Ms. Presley, she was deceived by the auction house owned by Kruse, with whom she became involved when she put up some of the King's memorabilia for sale.
The people mentioned in the court document allegedly gained the widow’s trust and framed her into servitude. As per the money.pl portal, this property law was established in favour of a specific person. Probably in this case, it concerns the right to the items Presley transferred to the auction house, not knowing she would lose them.
The widow's lawyers also accuse Kruse of isolating Priscilla from her family and ensuring that they would take care of her, including financially.
79-year-old Priscilla Presley met Brigitte Kruse, the owner of the auction house, two years ago. She quickly ingratiated herself with Elvis's widow, became her friend, and made the actress fully trust her, including regarding her husband’s memorabilia.
"They manipulated and robbed an elderly woman during a time when she was particularly vulnerable (when her daughter died), to gain financial benefits," states the court document.
Priscilla Presley actress
Priscilla Presley met Elvis when she was 14 years old. Even though Hollywood beckoned, he never agreed to let her pursue a career. She could only consider dancing and performing as a hobby. Her first roles came only after her divorce from the musician. Audiences certainly remember her performances in the "Naked Gun" series, where she partnered with Leslie Nielsen. A film with the working title "Naked Gun" featuring her is in production, with a release planned for 2025.
