No-bake cake with bananas
A forgotten pack of cookies, cream cheese with whipped cream, bananas, and pineapple—that's all it takes to create a delicious cake. No oven, no unnecessary mess, and no lengthy preparations.
Simply combine all the ingredients and chill. You can make the dessert the day before serving, but only three hours of chilling are enough to enjoy this delightful treat. This recipe takes inspiration from the iconic American dessert "banana split," which features ice cream, banana, and fruit toppings. However, this version definitely surpasses the original.
Ingredients:
- 255 grams of oatmeal cookies,
- 70 grams of melted butter,
- 400 grams of cream cheese,
- 50 grams of sugar,
- 310 millilitres of 30% heavy cream,
- 2 bananas,
- 200 grams of pineapple,
- chocolate sauce for topping,
- cherries in syrup for decoration.
Instructions:
Step 1. Blend or finely crush the cookies and transfer them to a bowl. Add the melted butter and mix well. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and press the cookie mixture into the tray to form a base. Place it in the refrigerator.
Step 2. Mix the cream cheese with the sugar, then whip the cream separately. Combine the cream cheese and whipped cream. Spread half of the mixture onto the cookie base.
Step 3. Layer banana slices and chopped pineapple pieces over the cream layer. Spread the remaining cream mixture evenly over the entire cake. Refrigerate for at least three hours.
Step 4. Decorate the cake with cherries and chocolate sauce, then cut into pieces. Enjoy!
