Netflix viewers in Canada can now watch the final episodes of the third season of "Bridgerton." After the premiere of the first four episodes, it is already clear that the latest series will become one of the biggest hits in the streaming platform's history.
In less than four weeks, the first four episodes of the third season of "Bridgerton" have been watched by 90 million viewers worldwide. This already secures its place among the ten most popular American Netflix series in history. It is also a result comparable to the final achievement of the second season.
The second season of "Bridgerton" was watched by 93.8 million viewers in the first three months. Unfortunately, after this period, the platform "freezes" the results of its productions. And that's a pity because a lot can still change, especially in the case of series. It is worth mentioning that after the premiere of the third season, the viewership of the second increased by as much as 20 million people.
Similarly, the first season's official viewership count is 113.3 million viewers, placing it in 5th place in Netflix history. The all-time hit list is topped by "Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story," "Stranger Things 4," "Wednesday," and "Squid Game."
The third season of "Bridgerton" has confirmed the opinion that the series has gained immense popularity not only due to its plot full of intrigue and romance and the surprising choice of actors but also (and perhaps primarily) thanks to bold, erotic scenes, which can even be found on adult websites.
In an interview with "Stylist" magazine, Nicola Coughlan, the lead actress, admitted that she herself insisted on introducing additional intimate scenes involving her because she wanted to spite those who criticized her looks.
