Michael Jordan's Highland Park mansion finally finds buyer

Michael Jordan's residence in Highland Park, located in the Chicago metropolitan area, has found a new owner after nearly 12 years on the market. In 2012, the asking price was 40 million Canadian dollars, but in 2015 it was reduced to 20 million Canadian dollars.

Michael Jordan's residence waited for a buyer for almost 12 years. That is how much time passed from its listing to finding a buyer. As indicated by the portal "TMZ Sports," the price for which the residence belonging to the NBA legend was sold has not been disclosed.

The construction of the residence began in 1995. The six-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls (1991-1993 and 1996-1998) planned the estate, including 19 bedrooms, a library, and even a special room for smoking cigars.

The property also features recreational facilities. It is home to a basketball court, tennis court, swimming pool, and indoor gym. Three garages, capable of accommodating several cars, are available for a luxury car enthusiast like Jordan.

The entrance gate to the residence is marked with the number 23, referring to the number Michael Jordan wore with the Chicago Bulls.

Michael Jordan's star still shines brightly

Currently, the 61-year-old two-time Olympic champion (1984 in Los Angeles and 1992 with the Dream Team in Barcelona) lives in Florida with his second wife, Yvette Prieto, and their twin daughters. Despite the passage of time, Jordan remains an icon of basketball.

His star shone again after the documentary "Last Dance" dedicated to the basketball player appeared on the Netflix platform in 2020. The high prices of memorabilia and clothing associated with the star did not accelerate the sale of his estate, nor did they prevent its dramatic price drop.
