Dietitians claim that a breakfast featuring eggs as the main ingredient is one of the healthiest. It's a large portion of the protein that provides energy and keeps you full for a long time. This significantly reduces the tendency to snack before the next meal. Moreover, eggs are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, giving you the strength to face the day's challenges. And when you add vegetables to them, the benefits are even greater.

Add vegetables

Essential ingredients of menemen, the Turkish-style scrambled eggs, include vegetables. You will need tomatoes and green peppers packed with antioxidants that neutralize free radicals. They offer many other health benefits. Tomatoes are rich in iron, potassium, and magnesium and are also a source of vitamins and folic acid. Green peppers also contain vitamins and flavonoids with anti-inflammatory properties. These vegetables are also good sources of fibre, which is beneficial to include in your diet from the morning as it supports the digestive system.

A few spices

Anyone who has made scrambled eggs even once will have no problem preparing them Turkish-style. Start by peeling and preparing the vegetables. You should then sauté them. Turks use olive oil, which gives the dish its distinct flavour. You can substitute it with oil or butter. Only then do you crack the eggs into the sautéed vegetables and mix everything well. To give the dish an Oriental taste, it's good to use spices like cumin, fenugreek, or coriander.
