You can further enhance their aroma by adding a teaspoon of "speculoos" spice mix, which you can prepare by combining 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves. You can buy almond flour ready-made or finely grind almonds at home.
Ingredients:
- 125 mL (1/2 cup) peanut butter,
- 80 mL (1/3 cup) maple syrup,
- 250 mL (1 cup) almond flour.
Filling:
- 60 mL (1/4 cup) peanut butter,
- 30 mL (2 tablespoons) maple syrup.
Preparation:
Step 1. Transfer the peanut butter to a bowl, add the maple syrup and almond flour, and mix thoroughly.
Step 2. Form balls from the mixture and place them two at a time next to each other. Flatten them with a fork and put them in an oven preheated to 175°C (350°F) for 10 minutes.
