Lamine Yamal traveled with the Spanish national team to Euro 2024. Despite this, he couldn't abandon his studies, which he continued during the tournament. Now, the not-yet-17-year-old has announced his exam results.

Euro 2024 officially began on June 14. Since the opening match, a full round of group-stage matches has been played. The Spanish national team made it to the Round of 16.

La Furia Roja won all their matches. First, they defeated Croatia 3-0, then secured narrow victories over Italy and Albania, each with a 1-0 scoreline.

On the Spanish side, we can already observe the actions of the young generation. It is enough to say that a staple player of the squad is a not-yet-17-year-old talent from FC Barcelona - Lamine Yamal.

For him, the June trip to the tournament in Germany was problematic due to the school he attends because of his age. Yamal had already revealed that he brought his homework and attended remote classes, allowing him to balance playing in a major event with his studies.

The Barça star, who has become the youngest player in the history of the European Championships, has now completed the school year. We learned this from his statement on a Spanish radio station.

- I passed the exams and I have the ESO title now - he boasted on Onda Cero.
- If I'm honest, I saw them on my phone and it said I had passed so I just closed the application, called my mum and told her - added Yamal.

ESO is a title that signifies the completion of Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, the second level of mandatory education.

Subsequent levels of education in Spain are no longer compulsory. Thanks to this, the not-yet-17-year-old can already focus on developing his sports career, which is heading in a good direction.
