Due to illness, King Charles III had to comply with doctors' recommendations. They emphasized the need for him to change a longstanding dietary habit, which the monarch reluctantly agreed to. What does he eat now?

Seventy-five-year-old King Charles III was known for avoiding lunch. Unless his duties required it, he preferred to dine only at dinner time. On these occasions, chefs often (but not always) served him vegan dishes. His choice was driven by concern for the environment.

Due to illness, he had to alter these habits. According to the "Daily Mail," the monarch, who is now facing cancer, now takes a meal during the day. However, it's not a royal feast, but a modest nutritious snack that consists of... a single vegetable.

With some reluctance, he now has something to eat at lunchtime – a snack, really. He now eats half an avocado to sustain him through the day. It's important, particularly if you have got an illness' — reports the tabloid.

King Charles III is not a strict vegetarian. Twice a week, he enjoys a meat-based dinner, particularly favouring lamb. He avoids dairy. The monarch places significant importance on the origin of the products he consumes.

He trusts dishes made from animals and plants raised on royal estates the most. Like the late Elizabeth II, he enjoys strawberries from Balmoral.

His favourite ingredients include wild mushrooms from local forests, which he has frozen to enjoy year-round, sautéed with herbs. It is said he starts his morning with an egg boiled for exactly seven minutes.

As revealed by his former chefs (Darren McGrady and Carolyn Webb), Prince William’s father’s diet includes honey, muesli, and dried fruits.

He'd have homemade bread, a bowl of fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices — they told "Marie Claire."

Earlier this year, King Charles III announced that he was battling cancer. The specifics of the illness are not publicly disclosed. However, it is known that the Windsor family patriarch has undergone chemotherapy and is currently regaining his strength.
