An iron that isn't cleaned regularly will lose its efficiency, but that's not the only problem. If we don't take care of it, brown water will leak out, which will stain our clothes. Sometimes, thoroughly removing dirt, even from the soleplate, can be tedious.
Fortunately, there are ways to resolve this inconvenience. The trick below will make the iron look like new, so you won't have to worry about shirts stained with limescale.
How to clean your iron? A quick, cheap, and reliable method
A dirty iron with limescale buildup is a serious problem. The appliance works less efficiently; not cleaning it will result in yellow streaks on clean clothes. For this reason, it's essential to clean the iron regularly. One home method stands out: you won't spend much money on store-bought products, and you will quickly get rid of stubborn limescale deposits and more.
The only thing you need is one tablet of a certain medicine - aspirin, which has surprising properties. It's best to perform the procedure on an already cooled iron. Be sure to unplug it first.
Dissolve the aspirin tablet in a water bowl, then soak a cloth in the solution. Wipe the soleplate, and the dirt should disappear immediately! You can also try rubbing the iron with the tablet; the effect will be the same as with the dissolved aspirin in water.
