In the summer, the less time you spend by a hot stove, the better. The heat won't leave us anytime soon, so here's a recipe for a one-pot meal. You can cook the green beans in advance. I assure you, the whole family will be full and happy.

A dinner without potatoes? Even if you have a traditional meal approach, it's worth trying this change. After a dish based on green beans, you won't think about eating for a long time. This seasonal vegetable is packed with protein and fibre, so you'll feel full for a long time.

Legumes also contain a lot of folic acid and vitamins. Additionally, green beans are low in calories. They are perfect for light meals, especially salads. However, adding meat and a few other ingredients becomes the base of a delicious one-pot dish.

Green beans with meat and tomatoes — recipe

Ingredients:

  • 800 grams of green beans - yellow or mixed,
  • 500 grams of ground pork and beef,
  • 1 onion,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • 400 grams of chopped tomatoes without skin,
  • grated yellow cheese to taste,
  • salt, pepper, sweet paprika, basil to taste,
  • oil for frying.

How to prepare:

  1. Clean the green beans, trim the ends, cut them into smaller pieces, and cook al dente in salted boiling water.
  2. Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel the garlic and press it. Sauté them in well-heated oil.
  3. Next, add the meat to the vegetables. Season to taste, fry, and stir frequently.
  4. When the water evaporates, add the tomatoes and simmer for a while with the lid on.
  5. Then add the cooked green beans. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle the dish with grated yellow cheese and finely chopped basil.
