Italian minister: Putin unlikely to escalate conflict abroad
Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto believes that Vladimir Putin is not planning to expand the conflict with Ukraine to other countries. This is how he commented on the Russian leader's threats against the West.

Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto expressed the opinion that "I think Putin has no interest and no desire to expand the war to other nations," thus referring to Russia's threats against the West.
The war in Ukraine will be a key topic at the meeting of G7 foreign ministers, which will begin on Monday in Italy.
"There is always a reason to worry"
During a speech in Naples, Crosetto emphasized: "There is always cause for concern when you are faced with a person who has decided to have his troops drive their tanks across the border of a sovereign state," he said. However, he added that he does not see Putin's interest in expanding the conflict.
Minister Crosetto highlighted the support for Russia by 10,000 troops from North Korea. Meanwhile, Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani emphasized that the government supports a just peace, which does not mean the capitulation of Ukraine.
Tajani noted that Italy will cooperate with the US to achieve peace, emphasizing that this topic will be discussed during the two-day meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Fiuggi. Tajani announced that the politicians will meet there to seek common solutions, always in dialogue with the United States.
The U.S. Department of State informed that Antony Blinken, the head of U.S. diplomacy, will participate in the talks in Italy. He will also meet in the Vatican with Pope Francis and Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
