Irresistible banana bites: The ultimate quick, no‑bake party treat

There is no family party without banana bites. Kids love these sweet bites, and adults adore them, too, so it's worth making a really good batch. The recipe is simple and quick, and it tastes so good that the banana bites will disappear from the table faster than the cake.

My aunt makes banana bites for every party, and no matter how many she brings, she always returns with only toothpicks. Banana bites are the perfect solution for a quick dessert with no baking that will win over every generation. They're sweet, banana-flavoured, chocolatey, and simply delicious.

Banana bites - a sweet snack for parties

Preparing them is so easy that even a child could handle it. You only need a few simple ingredients and regular toothpicks to surprise your loved ones with an unusual snack. It's best to choose bananas that don't yet have spots and are not too soft so they don't fall apart when skewered.

The best proof of how popular this dessert is in my house is that the recipe card is now hard to read due to chocolate stains. Banana bites are perfect for both small and large occasions, as their taste immediately wins hearts.

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz dark chocolate,
  • 3/4 stick of butter,
  • round ladyfingers,
  • bananas,
  • coconut flakes.

Preparation:

  1. Add the butter and broken pieces of chocolate to a saucepan.
  2. Melt everything until it forms a uniform mass.
  3. Peel the bananas and cut them into pieces about 1 inch thick. They should be thick enough to make the taste noticeable but still fit on the toothpick with the ladyfingers.
  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  5. Skewer the ladyfinger flat side down. Then, add the banana on top and cover again with a ladyfinger.
  6. Dip in the chocolate, spooning over to cover the entire banana bite.
  7. Sprinkle with coconut flakes and set aside for the chocolate to harden.

The banana bites are now ready to eat. However, a fair warning: you definitely won't stop at just one. Enjoy!
