The creator behind the @diamondgemcleaning TikTok profile eagerly shares tips to make home organization easier. Recently, she revealed how to accelerate drying laundry during fall and winter. It's an exceptionally simple method, though not widely used.
How to dry laundry faster
In the summer, we can hang our laundry on the balcony or in the garden. During fall and winter, however, this is not always possible due to low temperatures and frequent rain, or sometimes snow. There's a simple trick to help clothes dry faster regardless.
The TikToker, who works as a housekeeper for celebrities, decided to share a simple method that anyone can use at home. She suggests turning on an extra spin cycle in the washing machine before removing the laundry. This helps to remove even more water from the clothes.
However, be sure to check the care labels on your clothes first. Some fabrics shouldn't be spun.
Drying clothes indoors? Here’s what to keep in mind
Drying laundry can be particularly challenging for those living in small apartments. To speed up the process, it's helpful to follow two basic rules.
Firstly, regularly ventilate the room where the drying rack with wet clothes is located. Additionally, be mindful of how you place clothes on the rack. Ensure they're evenly distributed to prevent water from pooling in one area, which can slow down evaporation.
