Congressman Byron Donalds from Florida spoke with Marcin Wrona, the TVN24 correspondent, about the upcoming presidential elections in the USA. When asked about the war in Ukraine, he expressed his desire for it to end, stating that if Kamala Harris were to take office, "the situation would only get worse."
"Kamala Harris can't do it"
- Vladimir Putin does not respect her. We need to end this war, resolve it, and that can only be achieved if Donald Trump becomes our new president - he added.
He further stated that a leader is needed "who truly knows how to negotiate an agreement." - Kamala Harris cannot do it, but we know that Donald Trump can - he declared.
When asked how Trump intends to gain the votes of Polish-American voters, with 800,000 residing in Pennsylvania, Donalds stated that "their message is the same to all voters" and "regardless of your heritage, the economy must work." - According to today's statistics, we're talking about 12,000 jobs (in Pennsylvania - ed.) - he said, also noting that Republicans want legal immigration and "strict borders hurt every American."
- We want people to come to us legally, just as many Polish Canadians did - he declared.
"What Biden said is fundamentally different"
Donalds also addressed the well-discussed incident at a recent Trump rally when right-wing comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico "a trash island" and suggested that Latinos "like making babies." Following this remark, the Republican campaign team quickly clarified that "it does not reflect the views" of Trump.
In response, Joe Biden noted that "the only trash he sees are his supporters," later explaining on social media that he referred to the hateful language against Puerto Ricans, not Trump voters, as "trash."
According to Donalds, "these situations are incomparable." He explained that the "trash island" comment was made by a comedian who is not part of the Trump campaign team and was not speaking on its behalf.
- However, what Joe Biden said is fundamentally different, because Biden is the sitting President of the United States, and he truly thinks this about approximately half of our country - he declared.
