At the Istanbul airport, a FedEx Boeing 767 cargo plane made an emergency landing due to problems with its landing gear. The aircraft ended up "nosediving" into the runway. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Boeing 767, flying from Paris to Istanbul, ran into unexpected issues during the flight. The landing gear became loose, prompting the crew to opt for a "belly down" landing, as reported by Novinite.com. The pilots contacted Istanbul airport's control tower to request permission for the emergency landing.

In response, the airport immediately enacted emergency procedures. Emergency Fire and Rescue teams were quickly sent to the runway, ready for the challenging landing.

Effective emergency landing

Despite the situation's gravity, the crew successfully executed the "belly down" landing. The aircraft safely came to rest on the ground without any injury to the crew or damage to the cargo. The incident occurred on runway 16R at Istanbul airport, leading to a temporary closure to facilitate the plane's removal.

Airport authorities are currently investigating the cause of the landing gear malfunction to ensure the safety and efficiency of airport operations.
