Elton John reveals summer-long battle with severe eye infection

Elton John shared some sad news in his latest Instagram post. The musician is dealing with serious eye problems; he has lost vision in one of his eyes.

Elton John has established himself as a true music icon over the years. He spent half his life on stage and concluded this journey during the final concert of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

The 76-year-old opted for some rest after such a demanding time, which, unfortunately, was unpleasant. In his latest Instagram post, Elton John revealed that he struggled with health problems throughout the entire summer.

Elton John posted a worrying update on Instagram, informing his followers that he battled health issues throughout the entire summer. He developed an eye infection, which has significantly impaired his vision.

Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye. I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye, - Elton John wrote on Instagram.

He thanked everyone who supported him during this difficult time.

I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks. I have been quietly spending the summer recuperating at home, and am feeling positive about the progress I have made in my healing and recovery thus far - he added.
